The Blotter: Ice fishing after curfew
Dec. 7
A concerned student informed police after reading a school shooting threat written in the bathroom at the high school. A man reported being stalked by his ex wife who was interested in what he was doing. Police had to escort a belligerent man who was bothering a family at the North Fork Trailer Park.
Dec. 8
A van with out of state plates and an intoxicated driver was seen tailgating and swerving through Columbia Falls.
Dec. 9
A driver complained to police when stuck in traffic that a neighboring car’s music was too loud. A female was seen snooping through employee’s cars in the Smiths parking lot. A house on 4th Street reported a burglary that occurred while they were away, police investigating. Five male juveniles were spotted ice fishing in a park in town after curfew.
Dec. 10
A man received physical threats from a person they were trying to help in AA.
Dec. 11
A resident on Ruder View Court reported receiving anonymous knocks on their window and snowballs thrown at their door. Reports of residents on 12th Street seeing four juveniles walking around with a trash bag asking to do chores for pay, seemed suspicious. Reports of fireworks going off near the train tracks on 8th Street, possibly gunshots. A disorderly man punched a hole in the wall at a bar on Nucleus, employee did not want to press charges.
Dec. 12
An eager 14 year old called police to ask when their parents could start teaching him to drive. A family on 5th Avenue called police after their daughter lost control from not taking their medication. A missing person report went out after two young girls did not get off the school bus after school, they went another way home and were found there.
