Spikers drop East Helena in 5 sets

| August 31, 2022 7:20 AM

Maddie Moultray, Sadie Cheff and Emalee Alton all had 10 kills as the Columbia Falls volleyball team dropped East Helena in its home opener Tuesday night in five sets, 17-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-11 and 15-10.

Kierra Kemppainen had 25 assists in the win and Moultray and Emalee Alton each had two blocks.

“After dropping our first two sets my message to the team was the same as when the first set started: keep taking it one ball at a time; however, we decided to add one thing: take risks. Our girls played scrappy and they found ways to get the job done. Super proud of them,” coach Jolandie Brooks said.
