A couple was arguing over food. Two men and a woman punching and shoving on Highway 2. Man reportedly threatening a woman that he was going to “check her out.” A guy who looked like he’d been punched was singing in his car. Police caught a woman who was stealing stuff from a business. Man said his mother-in-law was chasing him with a butcher knife. Another woman shoplifting at a store, she was caught, too.
July 29
Police moved a panhandler along in front of a casino. Police were after a green Subaru Outback, but it got away.Weyerhaeuser employees locked down after a man was seen with a 9 mm gun near the plant and Hanson’s Trucking. A black bear was reported on Bills Lane getting into garbage. Grizzly bear reported on Third Avenue.
July 30
Report of dog left in a car on Nucleus Avenue. Residents called police on a man speeding on Highway 2 who turned down 11th Street.
July 31
Man called to say some items were stolen from a truck. A man claimed a felon had a shotgun, which is illegal. A man’s stolen wallet was found in the bathroom of a grocery store, as was his phone. Grizzly bear reported in Council Bluffs neighborhood.
