Girls take second at Iceberg Invite at home
The Columbia Falls girls track team took second at the Iceberg Invitational at home Saturday. The boys were fifth.
Siri Erickson won the 3,200 with a 12:11.45. Julia Martin was fourth and Courtney Hoerner was fifth. Rebekah Walker took third in the
300 hurdles with a 51.76. Alexis Green was second in the long jump with a leap of 15-9 ½. Walker took third in the triple jump with a 32-4 ½.
On the boys’ side, they took second in the 400 relay with a 44.8.
Brock Fisher was fourth in the discus with a throw of 127-11.
At the Corvallis meet Thursday the girls were third and the boys were fifth. Ally Sempf was second in the 200 with
a 27.21. Erickson won the 1,600 and the 3,200 with times of 5:28.03 and
12:54.20 respectively. Hannah Sempf tied for first in the pole vault with a leap of 9-06 and Green won the triple jump with a 33-06.25.
Jace Duval was third in the long jump with a
19-10.50 for the boys.
The squads were schedule to compete in the Top 10 meet in Missoula Tuesday after presstime and then they travel to the Whitefish ARM meet Saturday.
