Courtney Horner was 14th with a 21:55.54 and Ally Sempf 22nd 23:05.81. Julia Martin had a nice race to round out the scoring for the girls with a 27th place finish and a time of 23:23.85.
The race was won by another Columbia Falls resident — Lilli Rumsey Eash — with a 19:33.90. Eash, however, runs for Flathead, who won the meet. Her mom, Jesse Rumsey, is the coach of the Flathead cross country team.
On the boys’ side, Logan Petersen had a nice race for Columbia Falls, taking 12th with a time of 17:06.72.
Quinn Clark was 41st with a 18:28.44. Jonathan Blankenship showed improvement with a 18:50.76, good for 52nd. As a team the boys were 10th.
It was a tight race from a team standpoint. The girls were only about 41 seconds out of second place, which went to AA Missoula Sentinel.
