The Blotter: RV stealing electricity?

Nov. 9

A property owner complained that his renter has friends over that are too loud and he is suspicious of the tenant selling drugs; the officers could not press charges. Report of a suspicious person peeking into the Health Food Store, did not look like he wanted any health food. Report of a black sedan seen driving recklessly. A deer was hit near the Veterans Home.

Nov. 10

A dog was left in a red Subaru overnight, party claimed that this had happened before. Report of two suspicious males in a gray sedan driving around Nucleus Ave using foul language. Party reported to officers that they looked like they were “gangsta from the city.” A dead deer was removed from Meadow Lake Boulevard. Fire units responded to an alarm call on 9th St, no fire was reported.

Nov.11

One chocolate and one black lab reported missing. A man reported a bag with all of his hunting equipment was missing, and was last seen in his truck when leaving Super One. A female, 40-50 years old, reported sleeping in her car. Report of harassment at Smiths Grocery, male reportedly said “I am a man of God and prepared to die,” attempted to get into a fight with the reporting party. Someone possibly had a stroke. Suspicious kids with flashlights were seen on a roof on 9th St. Officers could not find suspects, but did see a ladder on the back of the building. Two separate suicide threats reported.

Nov. 12

Reports of stolen electronics from an RV on 3rd Ave. A vehicle was damaged on Nucleus Ave. Report of someone throwing eggs at cars on Nucleus Ave near Gunsight Saloon. A girl was accused of smashing the windows of Smiths grocery on Nucleus Ave.

Nov. 13

Report of someone stealing electricity with their RV on 7th St. A family was accused of animal cruelty and posting videos online of the act, reporting party claimed they were being threatened. Report of a broken plastic lawn chair on 1st St, a hazard to traffic. Police received a call about a suicide concern.

Nov. 14

Report of a child that tried running away from home, concerned for the child’s safety. Alarm reported at Badrock Tattoo. Another report of a runaway girl, has been missing since Thursday morning, possibly staying at a friend’s house. Noise Complaint on Darlene Road, officer told party that Columbia Falls does not have a noise ordinance. Suspicious activity reported on 2nd Ave, a male was walking around with a gas canister.
