No. 1725 NOTICE TO PARENTS OF CHILD FIND OBLIGATION School District Six has a procedure for the referral and evaluation of all children, ages birth through 21 years of age, who may be suspected of having a disability. All children, who reside within the boundaries of School District Six, who may be suspected as having a disability, may be considered for identification, evaluation and services, if eligible under the regulations established in Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). School District Six respond to requests for information regarding the evaluation of children suspected of being disabled in accordance with Montana Administrative Rule (10.16.3125) and Federal Regulations (34 CFR 300.561). Notice of parental rights and other policies and procedures will be provided in the native language of the individual concerned, and shall include: Information on the eligibility criteria for categories of disability under IDEA. No. 1726 PUBLIC NOTICE Americans with Disabilities Act Columbia Falls School District Six complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Public Law 101-336 (ADA), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of a disability. The ADA, as applied to school districts, requires that no qualified individual with a disability shall, on the basis of a disability, be denied the benefits of school district services, programs, or activities. Accordingly, School District Six will not refuse to allow a person with a disability to participate in a School District service, program, or activity simply because the person has a disability.
