Wildcat tennis teams’ last week of regular season play was packed with competition after the previous week’s cancellations were pushed back and rescheduled.

The Cats had five matches with four different teams during the week, starting with a reschedule against Ronan at home on Tuesday and a reschedule against Libby at home on Wedenesday. The Cats then hit the road to play Libby again on Friday, followed by a double header competition against Corvallis and Hamilton at FVCC on Saturday.

Columbia Falls had a total of three wins and seven losses over the four competition days. The Cats started out strong with the boys team beating Ronan 5-1 and the girls team beating the Maidens 4-2.

The only other win of the week was the boys’ 5-2 victory against Libby on Thursday.

The Wildcats were led by girls No. 1 singles player Hannah Schweikert who went undefeated with four matches on the week, followed by the boys No. 1 singles player Niels Getts who went undefeated for two matches on the week.

The Cats’ boys No. 1 doubles team featuring Cody Schweikert and Cade Morgan secured three victories throughout the week and the girls No. 1 doubles team featuring Grace Gedlaman and Cloey Ramage secured two.
