Glacier Twins baseball goes 2-3 on the week
The Glacier Twins had some tough luck at Butte over the weekend, going 1-3 on the road trip.
The Twins beat Butte 14-7 on Sunday, but lost to Belgrade 8-0.
On Saturday, Butte bested them 9-7 and 11-10.
In the 9-7 loss, the Twins were knotted up with the Miners 7-3 at the top of the fourth, but the Miners added three in the bottom of the inning and three more in the bottom of the sixth for the win.
In the 11-10 loss, the game slipped away on a fielding error that put the winning run across for Butte.
Taylor Bryan took the tough losses for the Twins in each game.
Against Belgrade, the Twins had four hits, but they also committed three errors, which didn’t help.
They ended the road trip with the win against Butte as they had 16 hits. Jake Polumbus got the win on the mound.
Mason Peters went 3 for 4 with two RBIs. Stevyn Andrachick was 4 for 5 with three RBIs.
Last Thursday the Twins dropped Mission Valley 8-2.
The Twins play Libby Wednesday and then compete in the Kalispell tourney this weekend.
They’re now 10-5 on the year.
