Swim team takes second against ‘Root

The Columbia Falls swim team traveled to Hamilton this past weekend and came in second to a tough and  full squad of Bitterroot swimmers.

“All of our swimmers had a great meet, we just had a few setbacks in some races which resulted in falling short of first,” coach Harry Bagley said.

Top individual swimming of the weekend came from high point winners Grady Talbot, men’s 8U; Brielle Bates woman’s 8U; Catherine Opalka Womens 9-10.

Great swims also came from Sadie Cheff in the 100 women’s breast; Payson Scribner in her 9-10 women’s 100-free; and 15-19 men’s 50 fly with Logan Niles, Jerimiah Venegas, Tyler Veneagas, each hitting the pads under 30 seconds. 

The team has the upcoming weekend off and then will be traveling to Fort Benton.
