Columbia Falls man killed in motorcycle accident

A Columbia Falls man was killed in a motorcycle accident July 16.

According to Montana Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on U.S. 2 at about 5:20 p.m. when a 2004 Toyota Avalon driven by a 60-year-old Eureka woman entered the highway from East Cottonwood Drive and clipped the front of the motorcycle.

The man, later identified as Bradly Nieves, 41, was thrown from the motorcycle, suffered serious head injuries and died at the scene.

He was not wearing a helmet. The woman was not injured.

Drugs, alcohol or speed were not suspected factors in the crash, Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino said in a release.
