Heritage Days this week in Columbia Falls

After a year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, Heritage Days is back this year and better than ever July 21-25. This year’s theme is “The Way We Were.”

Here’s a look at the lineup of events:

Wednesday — 5 p. m. - 9 p. m. – 12th Annual Car Show at Marantette Park.

Thursday — Columbia Falls Community Market at the Coop from 5 to 11 p.m. Featuring rock ’n’ roll from K’Niption Fit. There will also be free swimming at the Pinewood Park pool. From  6:30 p. m. -   7:45 p. m. It’s adults and kids to 12 years old and from 8:15 to 9:30 its adults and kids 13-plus.

Friday

The Wildcat Athletic Endowment barbecue and auction and ever popular beer garden at Marantette Park. Barbecue starts at 5:30 p.m., live auction starts at 6:30 p.m. and the beer garden runs until 11 p.m. The Endowment, which supports Columbia Falls school athletics, is looking to reach its goal of $1 million this year. The barbecue is $5.

In addition, there is an open rodeo by Brash Rodeo at the Blue Moon at 7 p.m.

Saturday

The Firemen’s breakfast at the Fire Hall starts at 7 a.m.

The Glacier Bank Boogie to the Bank 5k and 10k from the North Fork back into town starts at 8 a.m. To sign up, go to: https://runsignup.com/Race/MT/ColumbiaFalls/BoogieToTheBank

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. there’s arts and craft vendors and fun for the kids at Marantette Park.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The North Valley Senior Center will offer a fundraiser luncheon and from 11 to noon the North Valley High steppers will have a demonstration.

At noon the main parade runs down Nucleus Avenue. Floats should start lining up at the end of Nucleus Avenue starting at 11 a.m.

At 1:30 p.m. Freedom bank will hold its annual Wild Horse Drive down Highway 2 through the city to Blue Moon.

At 7 p.m. the Blue Moon will host another rodeo. Bars and restaurants downtown will have live music as well all nights of Heritage Days.

Sunday

The Wildcat Endowment golf scramble at Meadow Lake Golf Course starts at 7 a.m.
