Man charged in alleged Glacier Park rape
A Big Sky man faces federal charges of aggravated sexual abuse and sexual abuse for allegedly raping a woman near Lake McDonald last July.
According to a redacted federal indictment, Eduardo Luis Diaz, 26, forced the woman to have both oral and vaginal sex near the lake in Glacier National Park on July 2. He was arraigned, however, Jan. 5.
The charging documents did not reveal any further details.
Diaz faces a maximum of life in prison, a $250,000 fine and five years of supervised release if convicted.
The Park Service investigated the case. Diaz was originally from Chicago, Illinois, but since moved to Big Sky. He has been released pending further court appearance in federal court in Missoula.
