Girls go 2-0 at Tip-Off tourney

The Columbia Falls girls basketball team had a good showing at the Northwest-Southwest Tip-Off tourney in Frenchtown over the weekend.

The girls edged Hamilton 41-36 Friday. Maddie Robison led the squad with 25 points, followed by Grace Gedlaman, who had 10 in a defensive battle.

The Wildcats poured it on against Corvallis Saturday, downing the Blue Devils 63-24. The Cats held Corvallis to just 12 points in each half, including just five in the first quarter.

Robison had the hot hand on offense, dropping five treys and a field goal in the victory.

The girls faced Eureka at home Tuesday and won 58-37. They roared out of the gates in the third, outscoring Eureka 18-3. Robison had 14 and Hope McAtee 11 in the win.

They travel to Browning to start conference play on Friday. The game has been changed from Thursday to Friday.

They're now 3-0 on the season.
