Deloras Peters
Deloras Peters, 86, was called home to her Heavenly Father on Aug. 10, 2021.
Deloras Irene was born to Otis and Marie Black on June 19, 1935, in Colville, Washington. The family later moved to the Flathead Valley where she met and married Jerry Peters in the summer of 1953. Together they had six children.
Deloras was a collector of all things beautiful. She gave generously of her time and took great pleasure in giving gifts. She blessed so many with her kindhearted nature. She enjoyed keeping her hands and mind busy quilting and crocheting blankets, working on puzzles, and playing card games. Deloras was adored by her family and friends and will be deeply missed. Although she passed from this life, she entered into eternal life, and in that knowledge, there is great comfort.
Deloras is preceded in death by her siblings Robert Black, Lester Black and Della Beller, her husband Jerry Peters, and her son Rollie Peters.
Deloras is survived by her son Fred Peters of Olney, daughter Mary Peters Nicholls of Olney, son Joe and his wife Lynda Peters of Columbia Falls, daughter Donna Andrews of Whitefish, and daughter Phyllis Friske of Columbia Falls. Grandchildren include Brad and Tessa Peters of Columbia Falls, Chad and Tory Graham of Kalispell, Jason and Lauren Johnston of Alaska, Jake and Tasha Gall of Kalispell, Ken and Taira Massey of Tennessee, Nick and Sarah Rosenbaum of Columbia Falls, Kelly and Joyce Sandefer of Butte, Nick and Erica Friske of Columbia Falls, Lincoln and Hannah Meehan of Kalispell, Haileah Peters and Steven TenBerge of Kalispell, and Alex Peters of Columbia Falls as well as 22 great-grandchildren and her special caregiver, Renae Fredrickson of Olney.
The funeral will be held Wednesday Aug. 25, 2021, at 11 a.m. The service will be officiated by Pastor Matthew Nelson at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, located at 640 7th St W Columbia Falls, Montana. Interment at Fairview Cemetery and lunch will follow. Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls is caring for the family.
