Fall sports practices start this week

Fall sports kick off this week, with teams scheduled to start practice either Thursday or Friday.

Golf, as is the case every fall, will see competition early, with a junior varsity tourney Aug. 16 at West Glacier and a home varsity tourney on Aug. 18 at Meadow Lake.

Except for golf, fall sports start on Aug. 27. Football opens its season at home against Stevensville. Soccer is on the road against Lone Peak. Cross-country travels to Libby and volleyball heads to Ronan for the tip-off tournament.

Football practice starts Friday at 4 p.m. and will have two Saturday practices in the morning until the season starts. Cross country practice is Friday at 3:30 p.m. Other practices weren’t immediately available.
