Fire in Bob Marshall results in trail closures just south of Danaher Basin

A fire in the Scapegoat and Bob Marshall Wilderness has caused area closures near the Danaher Basin.
The Dry Cabin Fire is south of the Danaher and to the southwest of Scapegoat Mountain near the Flathead-Dry Fork divide.
It was listed at 3,000 acres and has been burning since July 11, but just recently saw increased growth.
As a result the following areas and trails are closed: Dry Fork Trail No. 31 at North Fork Cabin including connecting trails Cabin Creek No. 80, Dwight Creek No. 414, Canyon Creek No. 16; also in the Flathead National Forest Danaher area Eastside South Fork Trail No. 126 from junction with Rapid Creek Trail No. 142 south to boundary with Lolo National Forest, including connecting trails Alloy Creek No. 265, Calf Creek No. 277, Spring Creek No. 144, Bar Creek No. 140, Limestone Pass No. 143. Alternate routes include Stadler Pass to Benchmark, Jenny Creek/Young Pass to Lodgepole trailhead, and Youngs Creek via Pyramid Pass to Pyramid trailhead.
The fire was started by lightning.
