Novak claims bias

| October 14, 2020 12:40 AM

In the profile of Debo Powers candidate for HD3 editor Chris Peterson wrote that Debo said “since she retired in 2011, she’s been a full-time Montana resident.”

Last week Chris Peterson wrote that there was nothing “nefarious” about her voting record.

But what Peterson’s investigation uncovered that “since she retired in 2011, she’s been a full-time Montana resident” she remained registered and voted in Florida in the years 2012—2014

and 2016. That she never got a Montana drivers license until 2017—other records showed that she paid income taxes in Florida during those years — all while being a full time Montana resident.

Maybe all that advertising she’s doing in the Hungry Horse News may have affected Mr. Peterson’s letting her get away with calling herself a full time Montana resident since 2011.

I also wish that for transparency sake that Mr. Peterson had stated that his Hungry Horse News columnist Larry Wilson serves as her campaign treasurer.

Gotta love politics. Joe Novak Polebridge
