School hires new owner’s rep to oversee construction projects
The School District 6 Board last week approved a new contract for an owners representative for the elementary school remodel and new building projects.
Beginning Nov. 15, Jobsite Inc. of Kalispell will be the school’s representative.
Jobsite has done work for the school previously from 2017 to 2018, including the cabin-building shop, the junior high roof, the construction and facilities photo documentation of Glacier Gateway Elementary School, prior to the bond, and multiple smaller projects, noted president Dave Jolly in a prior email to the Hungry Horse News.
Jobsite replaces previous owner’s rep Dow Powell, who announced he would have to drop the contract due to family reasons.
Powell made about $9,200 a month, Jobsite will be paid $9,400 a month. It previously told the board it expects to work about 46 hours a week overseeing the remodel of Ruder Elementary, the new construction of Glacier Gateway and the new entrance at the junior high.
The contract runs through completion of the projects, or no later than Dec. 30, 2023.
Gateway is expected to open to students in the fall of 2022.
