Buy wreaths now for wreath event at Veterans Home Cemetery

The annual Wreaths Across America ceremony at the Montana Veteran’s Home Cemetery will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19.

The Montana Veterans Home along with the Glacier Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution would like to extend a special invitation to the public to join them at this year’s celebration.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event will look slightly different from previous years but the celebration to honor our nation’s veterans will still proceed. This year the ritual will be abbreviated and the entire ceremony will take place outside at the Montana Veteran’s Home Cemetery.

Nearly 2 million wreaths will be placed on veterans’ graves at 1,800 cemeteries across the country this year.

Wreath donations are still needed. Each wreath costs $15 and will be placed on veteran’s grave as part of the Wreaths Across America celebration. Those wishing to donate a wreath, or wreaths, can mail their check payable to Wreaths Across America to Steve Armstrong, 439 Grand Drive, #170, Bigfork, MT 59911. The deadline for wreath donations is Saturday, Nov.21.
