Flathead Rapid’s Columbia Falls U14 boys soccer team, consisting of 7th and 8th graders, went undefeated (10-0-1) this fall in the inaugural season of Montana Youth Soccer Association’s Northwest League.

The Northwest League was composed of teams from the Bigfork Soccer Club, Clark Fork Soccer Alliance, Flathead Rapids and Flathead Soccer Club who played games each weekend, with a playoff for each age group last Saturday.

The Columbia Falls Boys U14 team clinched their division championship by defeating Whitefish, 5-2 in the first round and then Flathead Valley United, 9-2 in the championship round.

The team was coached by Jason Harris and Todd Adams.

“This is one of the best groups of young men that I have had the honor to coach. I am so grateful that we were able to play a full fall season. It was so great to see all their hard work, teamwork and determination pay off when they hoisted that trophy,” Harris said.

The Flathead Rapids in Columbia Falls had four teams competing in the league including boys and girls U12, and boys and girls U14.
