A look at Columbia Falls area coronavirus closures, delays
Here’s a look at what’s currently closed or canceled in the area due to the coronavirus as of presstime:
- The Columbia Falls ImagineIf Library until March 28.
- All public schools until March 28.
- The Montana Native Plant Society talk scheduled for this week in Columbia Falls has been canceled.
- The Columbia Falls Community Choir Concert has been canceled.
- Spring high school sports are postponed until at least April 13.
- The Special Olympics winter games set to be held next week at Whitefish Mountain Resort have been canceled due to concerns around the coronavirus.
- The Whitefish Mountain Resort has also closed early for the season.
- Flathead Electric Cooperative’s Board of Trustees has canceled the 2020 annual meeting that had been scheduled for March 21. The Cooperative’s mail-in election will still take place. FEC members will receive ballots the week of March 23. Completed ballots should be mailed in the pre-addressed enclosed envelop to Survey & Ballot Systems, the Co-op’s independent election processing company. Ballots should not be returned to Flathead Electric Co-op office. Ballots received at the SBS office on or before April 9 by 5 p.m. will be counted.
- The Canyon community dinner this month has been canceled.
- A&W Restaurant will serve by drive-through only.
- Montana Coffee Traders will serve take-out only.
- Glacier Grille Pizza will serve take-out only and has reigned in hours to 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Columbia Falls Chapel has canceled Sunday services.
- United Methodist Church of Columbia Falls has canceled Sunday services.
- Fellowship Alliance Church has canceled in-person services, but will offer livestreamed services via their Facebook page.
- All Saints’ Episcopal is still holding services but hopes to provide webcasted services as well.
- Canvas Church has canceled its in-person services but will be offering webcasted services on their website at canvas.church.
- Flathead Audubon has canceled all its March and April field trips.
