Man charged after alleged stabbing at the Silver Bullet Bar

A Columbia Falls man faces an assault with a weapon charge after he allegedly stabbed another man in the neck at the Silver Bullet Bar.

According to a release from the Flathead County Sheriff’s office, deputies arrived at 12:38 a.m. to find the victim, a 36-year-old male, had allegedly stabbed by Jay D. Hardy, 29, of Columbia Falls. The male was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for medical treatment.

Hardy was taken into custody and booked into the Flathead County Detention Center.

A motive in the stabbing was not disclosed.
