The Columbia Falls City-County planning board will have a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. June 9 to consider a planned unit development in the city for a four-plex housing unit.

The housing unit will be located at Seventh Street East between First and Second Avenues East. The planned unit development takes three existing city lots all zoned CR-5 and reorients them creating four townhouse units. The overall effect is a reduction in units from six to four. No other deviations are requested through the planned unit development, city planning staff note.

The meeting is in city council chambers.

Full plans will be available before the meeting.

In other news:

• The city will go ahead with plans to open the pool this summer, though for the time being only 50 people will be allowed in the pool at a time, including staff. The city will charge $2 a person and will offer punch cards. There will also be season passes available, but swimmers need to understand that they might not be able to get in if the pool is at capacity.
