Rodger A. Crowell

Rodger A. Crowell, 70, of Hungry Horse passed away into eternal rest on Thursday, July 16, 2020.

He was born in Hibbing, Minnesota, the third child of Denver and Marion Crowell, on June 12, 1950. The family moved to Montana in 1956 eventually settling in the Kalispell area. He left high school in October of 1968 to join the U.S. Army. Upon discharge in 1974 he returned to Kalispell where he began working in the logging industry. Most of his working years were spent as a heavy equipment operator and long distance trucker. He was a loyal member of the VFW and Eagles organizations. He enjoyed collecting antique muscle cars and was an avid reader.

He is preceded in death by both his parents, a son Sean, and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife Brenda, of 24 years; brother Bud (Linda) of Minneapolis; sister Loma Young (Ron) of Joliet; sister Patty Crowell (Leo Bael) of Las Vegas; aunts Ellie Lerol and Kaye Winans of Minnesota; uncle Leo Ardahl of North Dakota; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He will be missed by sisters-and brothers-in-law Peggy and Todd Rosenbaum; Karen Jay (Larry Berggren); and longtime friends Cliff Nelson Jr. of Hungry Horse and LeRoy Brush of Kalispell. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Oct. 9, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
