Coronavirus cases in the state and Flathead County continue to rise and the Blackfeet Tribe announced a mandatory stay-at-home order for 14 days that started June 27.

The order also closed all public gatherings, aside from getting essential services.

Currently there are 12 active cases in Glacier County and 16 in Flathead County.

All told, there are 288 active cases statewide with 13 active hospitalizations.

On Monday there were 56 new cases reported statewide — a new all-time high. From June 21 to June 28 the state added 203 confirmed cases.

Gallatin County and Yellowstone County each lead the state with active 55 cases. There have been 22 deaths since the pandemic started.

The Glacier Country Boys and Girls Club closed last week in Columbia Falls because a friend of a staff member had tested positive for the disease.

The staffer did not test positive and the club reopened on Monday.

“We chose to use extreme caution because a friend of a staff member tested positive and this staff person had been in contact with them more than a week ago,” the club noted on its Facebook page last week.

Montana is largely reopened, aside from closures on reservations.
