Dec. 20

There was a big argument about who did, or did not, own a van. A guy got his stuff out of the rig and the woman then kept lurking around the house with the van, even though she apparently wasn’t welcome. Two girls claimed to be selling rings for a fundraiser. The guy who answered the door was suspicious, so he called the cops. A rig crashed into a guardrail, but the report doesn’t say where.

Dec. 21

Report of transient sleeping at the ball fields. Suicide threat reported. Someone claimed an employee at a business was stealing from her mother’s checking account. Three big dogs were running around; they almost got hit by cars. More noise complaints from bowling alley. A car accident reported with a child bleeding from the mouth; report doesn’t say what road. Police stopped a rig on Karen Road that had obviously been in a wreck.

Dec. 22

A woman who was limping and holding her ribs was walking up the North Fork Road. When party stopped to help, the woman said, “mind your own business.” Report of drunk driver heading to Columbia Falls down Highway 40. Loose dogs in Hungry Horse were a problem. One dog was growling at a woman who was on her own porch.

Reckless driver on Highway 2 crossing center lines.

Dec. 24

Report of possible overdose. Man said his apartment was broken into and ransacked. Reckless driver on 12th Avenue. Threats allegedly made on Facebook — one girl was going to have her brother go over to another girl’s house and beat her up.

Dec. 25

Report of suicidal woman. A woman fell off her porch and broke her hip.

Dec. 26

A woman said some money and jewelry may have been stolen from her car when it was parked on Nucleus Avenue. A woman said she heard someone picking at the lock of her apartment. She couldn’t see the person because her peephole was broken. Reckless driver on Highway 2.

Dec. 27

Cops found marijuana and a small glass container of a “light brown, chalky substance” in a rental property. Christmas must be over, because someone dumped a “big” Christmas tree in the middle of Highway 2 near Oh’s Body Shop. A person walking down Railroad Street at 1:38 in the morning said they were “just walking around to get some fresh air.”

Dec. 28

A reckless driver was reported weaving all over the road on Highway 2. A dead deer and vehicle debris was creating a driving hazard on 9th Ave.

Dec. 29

One car had to be pulled out of the ditch after a Toyota Sequoia and Honda Fit collided on Hilltop Road. Dispatch received two calls complaining about noise coming from the bowling alley.

Dec. 30

Woman reported she was being harassed by someone who wanted to purchase her Instagram account and user name. The person used information gathered from the account to have pizzas delivered to the caller’s house and to her father’s house in California. Another noise complaint about the bowling alley from the same person, but an officer drove through the area and reported no excessive noise.
