Scott D. Grasser

Scott D. Grasser passed away on Jan. 15, 2020 at home with his wife Vicki by his side. Scott had suffered many years with COPD.

Scott grew up in Billings with his parents Robert and Bertie Grasser. He had one brother, Kevin and two sisters, Deb Doney and Linda Jung. Scott graduated high school from Billings West in 1979. In September of 1979 Scott joined the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed in Great Falls.

In December of 1979 Scott married Vicki Griggs. The couple had two boys, Daniel in 1981 and Scotty in 1987.

In 1991, Scott moved his family to the Flathead Valley. Scott loved to fish up at Spotted Bear. He loved the remote areas. Scott also loved to boat. He played video games with his boys. Scott was well known in the Columbia Falls bowling community. He won many trophies, plaques, tournaments, etc. If there was a tournament, Scott bowled the entire weekend!

Scott was also a wonderful woodworker. He built beautiful decks, walkways, birdhouses etc.

In his work life, Scott worked hard. He often worked two or three jobs at a time.

He found his passion for a career when he became an EMT for Columbia Falls Ambulance. Scott worked all hours of the day and night as an EMT for 19 years. He loved helping people in their time of need and he was good at it! There will be a celebration of Scott’s life on April 18, at 11 a.m. at Canvas Church in Kalispell. Scott’s wife, sons and family invite all who knew and love Scott or his family to attend. If you have a favorite memory, we would love to hear it!
