Tuesday, Feb. 4

A woman requested an officer swing by to check the legitimacy of a NorthWestern Energy pamphlet on her door since she doesn’t get natural gas.

A driver hit a fire hydrant on 12th Ave. No obvious damage was done to the hydrant, but public works was notified.

Wednesday, Feb. 5

An individual called to make a complaint that a law enforcement officer was wasting taxpayer dollars by keeping their patrol vehicle running for an hour outside a gym.

A driver in a motor vehicle accident took off from the scene on a stolen bicycle.

A woman, who was eventually referred to a scam hotline, reported that someone attempted to get her to buy $8,000 worth of gift cards.

Thursday, Feb. 6

A reckless logging truck was reported to have been driving down the middle of the road in Columbia Falls, forcing oncoming drivers to the road shoulders.

A minor was reported in possession of drug paraphernalia.

A woman exhibited disorderly conduct in a bar, shoving and yelling at people while her friend tried to drag her out.

Friday, Feb. 7

A group of minors apprehended near the old red bridge were cited for drinking.

An intoxicated male reportedly face-planted off a three-foot step near Smith’s Food and Drug.

Saturday, Feb. 8

Medical personnel responded to and helped a man that had fallen on the ice and broken his ankle.

A mother reported that her 37-year-old daughter didn’t return from a bluegrass concert, but later called back to say her daughter was home and doing fine.

Sunday, Feb. 9

A man reported that a vehicle had slid off the road and run into his garage during the night.

A woman saw a Facebook post about subjects wanted for credit card theft, and believes that her husband may be one of the suspects.

Monday, Feb. 10

A woman reported seeing Jeffrey Epstein at the Columbia Falls Murdoch’s driving a fancy sports car. She wanted officers to know so they could apprehend him and hold him accountable for his crimes. That would be tough to do — Epstein is dead.

A Columbia Falls resident reported that a strong chemical smell from a nearby warehouse keeps seeping into his building. He wanted to know his options his complaints to the city went unanswered.

A resident found a reddish-brown beagle with a white stripe on its chest, and was taking care of it through the night.
