Theresa Darsow Downing

Monday, Jan. 27, Theresa received her wings and moved on to a bigger and better place. She was born May 3rd, 1965 to Doug and Cherie Darsow. Early on she had two children – Melissa and Ryan Lukenbill. In November 2004 she married Pat Downing and gained four stepchildren – Josh, Jeremy, Kylee and Kami Downing.

Theresa struggled with kidney failure the past nine years, through this she seldom complained and went on with her day. She was raising three grandchildren, which kept her going, she loved them like her own. Her granddaughter Harper says, “Grandma’s up there spying on us!”

She had a strong connection with her Lord and Savior. She was a loving and caring person, she put many people’s needs ahead of her own, whether you were family or friends. She had many friends! Her smile will be missed along with her beautiful red hair!

Previous years she was a waitress at Pin and Cue, West Glacier Café, retail management at Ross and later the Dollar Tree. She was a very hardworking lady!

She loved to spend time with family and grandkids, crocheting, playing pool, karaoke with cousin Nan and camping and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her father Doug Darsow and stepson Wayne Lukenbill. She’s survived by her husband Pat; her children Melissa and James Scott; and grandkids Riley and Harper Scott; and her son Ryan Lukenbill; her stepchildren Josh, Jeremy, Kylee and Kami Downing and their spouses; her mom Cherie Darsow Gardner and husband Al; her brothers Tony, Tom, Terry and her sister Tammy Burghduff and their spouses; 17 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place.

At 1 p.m. Feb. 7 burial is at the Catholic Cemetery in Columbia Falls. At 2 p.m. a celebration of life and potluck at Eagles in Columbia Falls. Everyone is invited.
