Speech, debate judges needed

The Columbia Falls speech and debate team kicks off its season virtually this week, but is in need of judges willing to judge events this season.
Because of coronavirus concerns, all events this year are done virtually by Zoom meeting, where judges watch speeches, debates and performances remotely.
As such, Columbia Falls needs judges for every week, coach Blake Ladenburg said.
“All tournaments are virtual and we have to provide judges for each tournament,” he said.
The Wildcats are looking trying to secure their 16th straight state A title.
This year’s team currently has 34 members, including 21 returning members, including seven seniors that were on last year’s squad as well.
The Wildcats face Whitefish this week, then laurel Dec. 11-12, Havre Dec. 18-19, Miles City, Jan . 9, Corvallis Jan. 15-16.
Polson will host Divisionals Jan 22-23 and the state tourney is in Sydney Jan. 29-30.
