The Blotter: A drunk man and woman were reportedly 'out of control.'

Nov. 23

Reports of a fender-bender. A driver reported seeing a child shoved in the back of a white van, when the driver tried to pull up next to the van, it looked as though one of the two elderly adult males in the van pushed the child to the floorboards. Reports of a domestic dispute. Someone was threatened by a male who said he had a 9mm pistol in his backpack. A man’s neighbor called to tell him his back door was wide open and the dogs were outside. A drunk man and woman were reportedly “out of control.” Someone’s Facebook friend was making suicidal statements.

Nov. 24

A storage unit reported a break-in and a theft. Two apartment tenants got into an argument. A woman called to say two of her children were in the vehicle with her bi-polar depressed husband who had a knife and had taken a handful of pills after she suggested he kill himself.

Nov. 25

Reports of a mentally disabled woman being sexually assaulted. Reports of bank fraud. A man was seen walking up Third Avenue East shining a flashlight into people’s yards and houses. Complaints of noisy music.

Nov. 26

An 83-year-old woman who had been sick with COVID-19 for the last three weeks and was stuck in her apartment called crying to say her toilet and tub were backed up and she didn’t know who to turn to. A blue money bag found lying near an outhouse had drug paraphernalia in it.

Nov. 27

A semi-truck hit a passenger car near the pool in Columbia Falls, but no one was injured. A juvenile male’s mother threatened to choke him; he was brought to his father’s house in Hungry Horse. A neighbor was trying to help a woman who was locked into her apartment while her children were locked out; this had happened before, somehow the lock was sticking. Reports of underage drinking in a nearby residence. A faulty smoke detector was sounding an alarm. A woman reported that just one of her vehicle tires was stolen while she was at work.

Nov. 28

Reports of an injured buck on the roadway. A woman claimed she was tired of people trespassing on her property. A taser was deployed during a domestic dispute. A naked man in a hot tub was screaming obscenities. Reports of a fender-bender. Reports of two men fighting on the ground. Someone was walking the hallways of a hotel, banging on doors.

Nov. 29

Reports of suicidal intent. A smoke alarm in a building had been going off for three hours.
