Community Dinner

The free Canyon community dinner at Canyon Elementary School is Thursday night starting at 5:30 p.m. The menu will be a fantastic potato bar served with a salad and apple crisp for dessert. Toastmasters

The Columbia Falls Toastmasters meet Sept. 26 from 6:45 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Freedom Bank lower conference room. Join our group and learn how Toastmasters can help with valuable communication and leadership skills. For more information Contact Kristi at 406-871-7999.

Fire talk

Rick Trembath, a longtime firefighter and historian will give a talk, “Native People and Historic Fire in Northwest Montana,” at 4 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Montana House in Apgar. Event is free and open to the public, though seating reservations are required by calling 888-5393.

Chamber meets

North Valley Hospital CEO Kevin Abel is the guest speaker at the next Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce luncheon at 11:45 a.m. Oct. 8 at the North Valley Community Building on Nucleus Avenue. Optional lunch is $12.

Metals class

Take an introduction to metals class at Columbia Falls High School. Classes will meet on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the high school metal shop, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, Nov. 7, 14, 21 and Dec. 5 and 12. Cost is $120. Sign ups and payments may be made at Columbia Falls High School office before the first class. Instructor is Rod Cogliati. If you have any questions you may call the High School at 892-6501.

The Columbia Falls Community Market at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Coop features Moonshine Mountain, beer by Tamarck Brewing and spirits by Distillery Spirits.
