Please return the bin

| September 18, 2019 8:43 AM

Several years ago, the residents of Glacier Hills, a community within Martin City, realized that actions needed to be implemented to make the entrance to Glacier Hills safer.

Over the years there had been many “close calls” with vehicles, such as ambulances, trucks, passenger vehicles and, hikers, and even fire trucks, sliding down the steep slope due to the ice at the entrance to Glacier Hills.

The Glacier Hills residents took it upon themselves to purchase a white covered bin which was used for the storage of several pails filled with dirt and crushed stones. Whenever there was ice or snow on the entrance-way to Glacier Hills, one or more of the Glacier Hills residents would take a pail filled with the dirt and stones and spread it onto the slippery entrance-way.

The white covered storage bin was placed outside the entrance gate in order to be make the dirt available to non-residents if the need was necessary.

Unfortunately, someone recently removed all the pails loaded with dirt/stones and took the white storage bin to either sell or for their personal use.

If the person, who removed the white storage bin, seeing the importance of the storage bin for the community, could return such, the community would be very grateful.
