Wildcat golfers play busy opening week schedule
The Columbia Falls High School golf season is already in full swing as the Wildcat teams were in action in three tournaments last week.
The season opened in Whitefish Tuesday as the Wildcat team earned a third-place finish, behind Whitefish and Frenchtown.
Marcus Kilman was the top golfer for Columbia Falls at the tournament, shooting an 82 to finish fourth. Tyler Langton was fifth with an 84, Cody Brothwell was 13th with a 94, Lane Clark shot a 109 and Bobby Dewbre shot a 127.
On the girls side, Haylee Johnson shot a 126 to finish 21st and Eddie Chisholm shot a 142 to finish 23rd.
The team was back in action Wednesday as Columbia Falls hosted its home tournament at Meadow Lake Golf Course.
With only four golfers in action, the Wildcats finished sixth as a team as Langton shot a 72 to grab seventh and Brothwell was 11th with a 92. Clark shot 121 and Dewbre finished with a 130.
For the girls, Johnson shot a 124 and Chisholm a 150.
The Wildcats finished third at the Mission Mountain Golf Course Thursday as they played the Ronan Invite.
Kilman again had the top score with a 79 to finish sixth while Langton was eighth with an 81. Brothwell shot an 87 to finish 15th, Dewbre was 33rd at 105 and Clark was 39th with a 117.
Chisholm shot a 143 for the Wildkats.
This week, the Cats will be in Missoula for the Ranch Club Invitational Wednesday and in Frenchtown for the King Ranch Invitational Thursday.
