Golfers say thanks

On behalf of the board of directors of the Wildcat Golf Association, I would like to thank all of the community members and businesses that made our second annual tournament a great success. Congratulations to the winning team of Tom Duff, Jamie Duff, James Mitchell and Justin Hofeldt, whose scramble score of 61 won the event by 3 shots.

A special thank you to Meadow Lake Golf Course and its staff for hosting the event, to the Marquesens and the Nite Owl/Back Room for providing lunch to all participants, and to the CFHS Wildcat golf team for volunteering at the tournament. More than 100 golfers played in the event, raising thousands of dollars to benefit young golfers in the School District 6 area. The funds raised by the Wildcat Golf Association are used to provide opportunities to junior golfers, to support the Columbia Falls High School golf team, and to promote the sportsmanship that is the hallmark of the game of golf.

Our community’s support for its kids is inspiring, and we are very grateful.
