Pancake supper

The North Valley Senior Center will have a pancake supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at the center on Nucleus Avenue. Cost is $6. This is a major fundraiser for the center, which currently needs members.

Fall sale

The Columbia Falls Women’s Connection annual fall fundraiser is Saturday Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Valley Hospital Community Room in Columbia Falls. Various craft items will be featured, along with homemade baked goods, jams and jellies. Lunch will be served with soup, bread and pie for a donation.

Community dinners

For the next three months Canyon Community dinners will be held a week early due to the way the holidays fall. October will be the 24th, November will be the 21st and December will be the 19th. Dinners run from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Canyon Elementary School. Any questions call Luann 261-1083 or Flo 250-3406.

Toastmasters

The Columbia Falls Toastmasters will have an open house ”Confident Communications” meeting this Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Freedom Bank. It has several speakers presenting in the lower conference room from 6:30-7:45 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Toastmasters meets regularly on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays from noon to 1 p.m. and the fourth Thursday from 6:45-8 p.m. Public is always welcome.

Over 60 party

The Moose Lodge in Whitefish will host an “over 60” party Oct. 30 from 1-3 p.m. Men and women are invited to come play bingo, have cake and win some door prizes. There is no charge for the event.

Free Meals

The Columbia Falls community kitchen will be serving free meals in the basement of St. Richard’s catholic Church at 6 p.m. Oct. 28 through Oct. 30. No meal this month on Halloween. Everyone is welcome and the meal is non-denominational. Volunteers are always needed, if interested, call Marion Ficek at 892-4895.
