No. 1671 Notice of Close of Regular Voter Registration and Option for Late Registration Notice is hereby given that regular* registration for the Columbia Falls Municipal General Election(s) to be held on November 5, 2019 will close at 5:00 p.m., on October 7, 2019. *NOTE: If you miss this regular registration deadline, you may still register for the election by showing up at the county election office up to and including on Election Day. Between noon and the close of business on the day before Election Day, you can complete and submit a voter registration card, but you will need to return to the local election office on Election Day to pick up and vote a ballot. All active and inactive**electors of City of Columbia Falls are entitled to vote at said election. **Inactive electors may reactivate by appearing at the Election Office in order to vote, by requesting an absentee ballot in any election, or by completing a new voter registration form available at on the Election Department's website, https://flathead.mt.gov/election and returning it to the Election Department by October 7th. No. 1672 NOTICE OF LOCATION AND METHOD FOR COUNTING ABSENTEE BALLOTS Notice is hereby given by the undersigned Clerk of Columbia Falls School District No. Six, Flathead County, State of Montana that Absentee Ballots for the School Election held on the 8th, day of October, 2019, will be counted at the following location on election day (October 8, 2019): Columbia Falls School District Administration Office Conference Room 501 6th Avenue West Columbia Falls MT 59912 And these Absentee Ballots will be counted using the following method: Election Judges will begin counting ballots at 8 A.M. Election Judges will hand count. Judges will work in teams of three (3). One judge will recite the results marked on each ballot while the other two judges record the results into a spreadsheet. The judges records will be reconciled after every 25 ballots to ensure the results are the same. This procedure is anticipated to endure the duration of the election day. Any person observing the procedures of the count must be sequestered with the board until the polls are closed and is required to take the oath provided in 13-15-207(4), MCA.
