Kats netters cruise past Ronan in 3
The Wildkat volleyball team remains undefeated this season after sweeping the Ronan Maidens at home Tuesday.
The Kats were on cruise control as they blew past the Maidens, allowing no more than 15 points in any of the three sets, winning 25-15, 25-15 and 25-12.
The Kats took command early in the opening set and cruised to victory, but the Maidens put up a fight in the early stages of the second set, matching Columbia Falls point-for-point before the Kats pulled away in the late stages. The third set was all Kats as Columbia Falls easily got the win to improve to 7-0 this season.
Madysen Hoerner recorded eight of the Kats’ 25 kills in the contest while Dillen Hoerner added seven more. Ronan managed just nine kills in the loss.
Angellica Street had all 21 assists for the Kats while Kiera Brown had five of the team’s 12 aces in the win.
The Kats will play out of conference this weekend as they travel to take on Hamilton and Corvallis Saturday, a trip that head coach Jolandie Brooks says she is looking forward to.
“Corvallis is a very hard team to bear and we’re looking forward to seeing how we play against them,” she said. “It will be so good for us to be pushed.”
The Kats play Hamilton at 10 a.m. and Corvallis at 3 p.m.
