C-Falls netters fall to Pirates

The Columbia Falls High School tennis teams were on the road last week as they took on the Pirates in Polson.

C-Falls fell in both contests as the girls came up just short, losing to the Lady Pirates 4-3, while the boys lost their match, 6-1.

Hannah Schweikert and Maria Vizcay-Vicentin picked up singles wins for the Kats as Schweikert rallied from a first-set loss to defeat Berkley Ellis 0-6, 6-2, 6-1 while Vizcay-Vicentin also shrugged off a first set loss to down Taylor Bloomfield, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

Gwen Foust and Kylee Dougherty picked up a doubles win for the Kats, defeating Polson’s Sierra Lundeen and Carly Garrick 6-4, 5-7, 10-6.

In boys’ action, Camryn Lingle picked up the lone win for the Cats, defeating Makauly Morrison 6-1, 6-1.

Both teams will be at home to celebrate Senior Day as they take on Libby Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Columbus Park.
