Doesn't support school renovations

| March 13, 2019 8:03 AM

To whom it may concern (this means you the tax payers!).

I cannot understand how the district would even consider sticking property owners with higher taxes just because you want renovation to Glacier Gateway and Ruder elementary schools.

Canyon Elementary School remains beautiful, clean and empty, no thanks to the poor decision to close the school years ago.

Hungry Horse school is located in a wonderful area and has an excellent playground, plenty of parking, excellent kitchens, bathrooms and a library.

Why would you want to sell a well-structured building that is ready to go?

The cost of hiring new teachers, etc. would and could provide jobs that would not cost $29-34 million. I realize that common sense is fleeting now-a-days. Maybe a few of you should reconsider the burden you are asking taxpayers to bear.
