Wildcat Tennis
set to begin
Though the deep snow on the courts at Columbus Park says otherwise, the Columbia Falls High School tennis teams are gearing up to begin practice - probably indoors at Ruder Gym - on Monday, March 11. All students at CFHS are welcome to join the team after getting a sports physical and filling out the appropriate paperwork. No experience is necessary, and the program can provide rackets if needed.
Both the girls and boys teams are returning experienced athletes including three who advanced to the state tournament: seniors Taylor Jarret and John Gilk and junior Anna Pickard.

Speech and Debate
to celebrate season
The Wildcat Speech and Debate team will celebrate their 14th consecutive State Tournament victory on Sunday with an end-of-season ceremony at the high school. All competitors will be introduced and awards presented in various categories. In addition, several of the students will perform their individual or team speech presentations, allowing people to get a glimpse of the speech and debate world. Head coach Tara Norick will present an overview of the season, and there will be an entertaining video recap of the year.
The ceremony takes place in the high school little theater from 6-8 p.m. Sunday. After the awards, the public is invited to enjoy desserts and refreshments in the foyer with the team. The event is free and open to the public.
