Green truck with a camper shell all over the road. Hit and run reported on city flatbed pickup. Kids were laying face down in a puddle in the street. Reporting party was afraid they’d get run over. A lot of yelling in family spat on Columbia Drive.
July 17
Truck ran into a parked car in a parking lot. Caller said the radar trailer was blocking their driveway on 4th Ave. Dog found and returned to owner, caller said there were other dogs running loose. Reckless driver reported in Coram. Credit card found near the junior high and returned to its owner. Truck took out a stop sign on 6th Ave.
July 18
Report of gas leaking from vehicle onto asphalt. The vehicle appeared to have had a hole drilled into its gas tank. Dog running loose on 9th Street. Older male verbally assaulted by two teenage boys on 4th Ave. Counterfeit $100 bill found at business on 9th Street. Caller reported a trespasser in their shower on 9th Street.
July 19
A vehicle struck a motorcycle on Halfmoon Road. Charter van passenger took off without paying. Natural gas smell reported on 3rd Ave.
July 20
Man asked how he could retrieve the large amount of cash he left in his wife’s vehicle, which had been impounded the previous evening. Neighbors complained about barking dog on 3rd Ave. It was not the first time. Driver was rear ended while pulling to the bank on 9th Street. Three dogs and a goat were reported running loose on 4th Ave. Report of a man who parked his vehicle in a handicapped spot and was “chugging a bottle of vodka.”
July 21
Suspicious vehicle reported on 9th Street. A “very large black pig” showed up in a person’s yard on 4th Ave. An officer was attempting to find its owner and get it back home. Warning given to vehicle without his headlights on, driver said they didn’t know how to turn them on.
July 22
A man complained to police about the tow charge when his son got a DUI in Columbia Falls. Report of a picnic bench being thrown into the pond at River’s Edge Park. Some kids pulled it out. Report of someone throwing water balloons at vehicles on Nucleus Avenue.
