July 2
Police cited a driver for failing to pull over for an emergency vehicle. Someone once again painted on the mural at Uptown Hearth — a purple ant. A heater fan at the old junior high malfunctioned and created smoke. Fireworks may have given a woman a panic attack and thus, a stroke.
July 3
Report of a reckless driver in a pickup swerving on Highway 2 heading into town. Report of a kid who poured kerosene all over a shed. Report of a guy who stuck a gun in another camper’s face at Cedar Flats. A fair number of fireworks complaints.
July 4
A lot of fireworks complaints. An 8-month-old child was accidentally locked in a vehicle. They got the door unlocked. Report of a guy who went through a drive-through and gave the reporting party some edible pot gummy bears.
July 5
Report of traffic lights out on Highway 2. A woman was possibly having a bad reaction to edible marijuana.
July 6
Someone reported that their house had been rummaged through and the door was smashed, but nothing appeared to be missing.
July 7
Report of a motorcycle going 83 through town and weaving in and out of traffic. DUI reported on Highway 206, going into other lane and was headed toward Columbia Falls. A man who was being disorderly in a store and was told to leave was now asleep on a bench nearby. Two men in separate Jeeps were punching each other on Nucleus Avenue. An ex and the ex’s family were having a heated argument and they decided to sort it all out in court. A woman had been having seizures for two hours, until someone finally called 911.
July 8
Tenants were having a heated argument on Third Avenue. A woman said two males asked her for drugs and then tried to get her to go with them, they also asked other kids in an apartment complex. Tenant dispute over rent on 6th Street.
