Wildcats edge Ronan in overtime, 58-55
The Wildcats basketball team got 15 points each from Drew Morgan and Sam Hovde Tuesday as Columbia Falls edged Ronan for it’s second win of the season, 58-55.
Both teams had a chance to win at the end of regulation, but a Wildcat turnover with 3.6 seconds led to a missed three at the buzzer by Ronan’s Randy Finley.
Hovde scored the first basket of overtime to give the Wildcats the lead for good as Columbia Falls outscored the Chiefs 11-8 in the extra period, including knocking down 7-12 foul shots.
Dillon Shipp also scored in double figures for the Wildcats with 11 points while Dillon Wanner and Danny Henjum each added seven and William Dyon had three.
The Wildkats also picked up a win Tuesday, downing the Maidens in Ronan, 70-33.
Ryley Kehr led the way with 23 points while Josie Windauer added 14, Trista Cowan had 10, Savvy Ellis scored seven, Maddie Robison had six points, LaKia Hill scored three, Grace Gedlaman, Lauren Falkner and Madysen Hoerner each scored two and Graceanne Sevesind had one point.
