Snow removal
Columbia Falls reminds folks that if your business or home is adjacent to a sidewalk that you are responsible for clearing it of snow. In addition, the city asks that campers, cars and trailers should be moved off streets during snow events. Vehicles, campers, and trailers should not be stored on the street. The police department may have items towed at the owner’s expense if they interfere with snow removal or are improperly stored on the street.
Please do not shovel the snow from your driveway or parking areas on to the city street, it must be placed off the roadway. Also, do not pile snow on fire hydrants or at intersections. For additional snow plowing tips and facts as well as parking regulations, see the public works page on the city’s website, cityofcolumbiafalls.org.
