MatCat wrestlers come up short in Polson

The MatCat wrestling team came up short on the road at Polson Thursday, falling to the Pirates, 48-24.

Colten McPhee had the fastest pin for the Wildcats, taking down Polson’s Logan Adler in 33 seconds in the 205-pound division while Jakob Freeman and Taylor Gladeau also won via pin in their matches.

Sam Despain took down Polson’s Garrett Croft via 9-4 decision in the 160-pound weight class and Thomas Peters defeated Polson’s Jarod Farrier in sudden victory in the 132-pound division.

The Cats are in action again today and Saturday at the Rocky Mountain Classic in Missoula.
