Report of a teen that jumped out a window in a house and was threatening to shoot himself in Hungry Horse. He was eventually found and went to the hospital voluntarily. Panhandler told to move along on Nucleus Avenue. Fender bender on Highway 2. Report of a missing man on Seventh Avenue, who was later tracked to Star Meadows in Whitefish and was later found wolf hunting. Fireworks complaints on Second Avenue and Nucleus Avenue.

Jan. 1

Suicide threat — a man was threatening to shoot himself, but he later calmed down.

Jan. 2

A truck pulled up to a home on Third Avenue and was taking pictures, so owner called the cops. A fight between a girlfriend and boyfriend and child custody ended up with the girlfriend spraying water on each other. A female was posting suicidal threats on Facebook.

Jan. 3

Fender bender on 13th Street. A school principal called police to counsel a student who kept threatening another student. Playboy magazines and a black coat were found at city hall. They were placed in a black plastic bag and moved to the detective’s office. Someone reported cash theft on Fourth Avenue.

Jan. 4

Report of five rigs on Bethany Street with slashed tires. A woman drove off into the ditch on Hilltop Road and was “all over the road” prior to that according to reports. Report of neighbors fighting and woman yelling, “leave me alone.”

Jan. 5

Overheated heater at high school was making smoke. Fight at a bar on Nucleus — male was harassing another male. Minor injuries. Report of a male kicking in a door at a residence on Rocky Lane. A family member may have stolen items from a home after the homeowners went on vacation.

Jan. 6

A woman locked herself out of her house and her six-month old was still in the high chair. She was able to get back in through a window. A woman was found unconscious in her car after she wasn’t feeling well at church — ambulance responded. Man found a transient’s belongings in a backpack on U.S. Highway 2. The backpack had a large machete and a hatchet inside.

Jan. 7

Report of an ex assaulting a woman — slashed her tires, broke her phone and allegedly choked her and cut off her ankle bracelet that she had to wear after getting out of jail.
