Women meet

Columbia Falls Women’s Connection will have a luncheon on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 11:30 a.m. at the North Valley Hospital Community Room in Columbia Falls. Guest speakers will be Cindy Ritter owner of Bad Rock Books and Wendy Maechtle a cancer warrior who will share her journey. Donations of prepackaged snacks and juice boxes will be accepted for the Backpack Snack Program helping the needy children in our community. Cost is $8 and all women are welcome to attend. For reservations call Candy at 387-4119 or Janet at 892-3621 by 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14. Affiliated with Stonecroft Ministries.

Chamber meets

The Columbia Falls Chamber’s economic development meeting is Jan. 15 at 7 a.m. at the Back Room of the Nite Owl. The meeting is open to the public a great way to network with other businesses in town.

Kids Theater

The Glacier Gateway school will put on the Missoula Children’s Theater production of “Gulliver’s Travels” at 3 and 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Columbia Falls Little Theater. Tickets are available at the door for $5 per adult, family $20. Kids three and under are free. The show is supported by the Glacier Gateway PTO.

Toastmasters meets

Anna Nicosia of Columbia Falls made the fall dean’s list at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.

Snow removal

Columbia Falls reminds folks that if your business or home is adjacent to a sidewalk that you are responsible for clearing it of snow. In addition, the city asks that campers, cars and trailers should be moved off streets during snow events.
