Fender bender on Nucleus. Woman was upset about snow removal on her street, so she called the cops.
Feb. 13
Fender bender on Meadow Lake Boulevard. A man called to say there were menacing icicles hanging from a building on Nucleus Avenue.
Feb. 14
Fender bender on Nucleus Avenue and then another one on 12th Avenue. Report of a violent male banging around in a room at a hotel in Columbia Heights.
Feb. 15
Three non-injury wrecks. One was a hit-and-run. A woman having a diabetic reaction kept getting stuck on Highway 40 after people helped her out. An ambulance was called.
Feb. 16
Possible overdose on 9th Street. Complaint about a city plow blocking a driveway. A man was possibly having a stroke on 13th Street.
Feb. 17
A man called police because snow was blocking his driveway — he wondered if the plows would be getting out. A woman called to say that her ex boyfriend had shot her husband, but it turned out she had some mental problems of her own and no one was murdered.
Feb. 18
Two young brothers — the youngest was about 11 — were punching each other in a store. Fender bender on Fourth Avenue.
Feb. 19
A person lost their keys on Nucleus Avenue. Fender bender near the bowling alley. A woman called police about a homeless male in her house that wouldn’t leave. Report of a drunk flying through the parking lot of a store and then going inside.
Feb. 20
A car slid off the road on Rapids Avenue — other than that, pretty quiet.
Feb. 21
A teen with a steak knife was threatening suicide. Report of someone snipping the wire around a wood pile at the church. The wood is free for the needy. Police nabbed a man on a $50,000 warrant out of Lincoln County.
Feb. 22
Possible burglary at the old union hall. Kids playing in the road on Eighth Avenue. Report of an argument between a couple. Police responded and they said they’d keep it down and go to bed. A man said that someone was using his Food Stamp card, possibly his ex.
Feb. 23
A woman called police to say her car had been repossessed, though she claimed she was up-to-date on payments.
Feb. 24
Police picked up a couple of people on 6th Street on warrants.
Editor’s note: The man who ran into the wall with his vehicle in front of the Hungry Horse News Feb. 8 was identified by police as Christopher Mueller, no age or address given. He was later charged with DUI.
